Short history of Baha

The origin of Baha Village is inseparable from the development of society during the kingdom era in Bali. The name “Baha” started from when the King of Mengwi at the time was attempting to expand its rule in Saka 1621 (circa 1699 in Gregorian calendar). At that time, they encountered this patch of land, burning, and thought it was the doing of their target, the ruler of what was called Ayunan, Arya Ayunan. This patch of land was then called Alas Baha, meaning hot lava.
Modern conditions
Baha is surrounded by 4 different villages on all sides. In the north, east, south, and west, it is bounded with Sobangan, Dauh Yeh Cani (in Abiansemal sub-district), Gulingan, and Werdhi Bhuana respectively. Its land condition is a mix of wet and dry, giving a great combination for growing crops like rice and marigold flowers.
